Prompt and effective Sports First Aid can make a hugely positive difference to the time and ability of an athlete to recover from injury. This course covers basic first aid and basic life support, but the focus is on managing incidents and competently assessing whether a casualty should be returning to activity or not.

This course is aimed at people who work in various sports sectors and require a course in sports first aid.
How long does the Sports First Aid course last?
The course requires 4 – 6 hours of contact time normally delivered in one day – but it can be delivered over several evenings.
What happens on the course?
There is some classroom teaching, but the emphasis is on practical skills so wear comfortable clothes and be prepared for some activity.
How is the candidate assessed?
Assessments are undertaken by the instructor during the course.
Is there a certificate?
On passing the course you will receive a certificate, a wallet card and a first aider badge so that you can be easily identified. The certificate is valid for three years.
